
Born in 1971 in Hanoi, Vietnam, Ngo Hai Yen studied Masters at Vietnam University of Fine Arts, from 2004 to 2007. Ngo is a member of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association. Ngo specializes in abstract and lacquer painting. Her work can be found in museums and private collections throughout Vietnam including Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts. Ngo has also been featured in many magazine publications and television programs in Vietnam and worldwide. Her aim is to popularize the depiction of different facets of female figures in fine art. Ngo is best known for her conceptual portrayal of folk beliefs and women through the material of lacquer.
