Abstract Exhibition by Artists Ngo Hai Yen and Nguyen Duc Viet introduces about 30 works on lacquer material. The two artists have different artistic styles but have in common their love of paint and dedication to this very Vietnamese material.
Ngo Hai Yen painted lacquer after the success of her abstract oil paintings. The artist loves and feels the inherent aesthetic ability of Vietnam’s paint, but does not approach it based on material techniques. Therefore, her lacquer only reveals the overall effect of ocher, gold, silver or eggshell. In that way, the artist fully expressed her artistic viewpoint and created a strange style for Vietnam’s paint.

Artist Nguyen Duc Viet has a solid painting career. He was the one who proposed the establishment of the painting group and has worked regularly with the artists in the group, organizing regular exhibitions, attracting and spreading awareness in and outside the art world. From his understanding of the characteristics of Vietnam’s paint, the artist chooses to construct abstract paintings based on experience, careful and strict planning, and following a reasonable process. This painting style has great advantages for people with good lacquer painting techniques.
